Community Transport East Renfreshire SCIO

Community Transport East Renfreshire SCIO (Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation) is a charity that provides a range of transport services to the community. What we offer:

 

  • Transport to and from medical appointments
  • Vehicle hire with trained driver included
  • Afternoon Teas and Assisted shopping days

All of the above are available through the ‘Your Wee Red Bus’ service. Most of our work is carried out by volunteers who use their own vehicles (We also have accessible vehicles available for those with additional support needs) to take patients to medical appointments at hospitals, clinics, GPs and surgeries across greater Glasgow. As well as offering the volunteer driver service, we organise Afternoon Teas and Assisted Shopping days. These are an excellent way to spend the afternoon with friendly faces and great company.

Our services are aimed at those disadvantaged due to age, ill health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage. We were the first voluntary group to recieve the Bob Scott Brown Award from the Institute of Health Care Management in 2003 and pride ourselves on providing a friendly, consistent service to East Renfrewshire.
